Army Navy and Air Force Veterans Spitfire Unit#5 is a not for profit organization located at 2500 – 46 Avenue in Vernon, B.C. ANAF Unit #5 operates a licensed lounge and banquet hall which provides a nice social atmosphere for its members and guests.

The rooftop boasts a mounted authentic Spitfire replica airplane and has become a local landmark and tourist attraction. The replica is built to scale of a full-size Spitfire aircraft.

Length (Nose to Tail) – 31 Feet 10 Inches      Wingspan – 37 Feet      Nose to front of Cockpit – 9 Feet 8 Inches

The letters and numbers on the ANAF Spitfire were borrowed from the Log Book of the Spitfire piloted by WWII veteran Philip Bodnarchuk, of Vernon, who served in the RCAF and Canadian Army under service number J26835. Mr. Bodnarchuk reportedly flew with the Polish squadron and was shot down but survived until the age of 79 when he passed away on January 18, 1996.

Local community groups and charities are funded through ANAF’s popular Meat Draws.

General public is invited to enjoy our casual friendly atmosphere.

Licensed lounge open 7 days per week, with daily lunch specials Monday through Saturday. Enjoy our Outdoor Garden area.

Pool tables, for $2 daily, and dart boards are available free of charge.  We also have a Covered patio, and a spacious lawn & garden area.

We are part of Canada’s original veteran’s club founded in 1840, ANAF welcomes Active members from Military and Police Services as well as First Responders.
