Over the last 12 months, $40,000 has been donated by Unit #5, Vernon, of the Army, Navy & Air Force Veterans in Canada, to local charities.  These charities asked for funding by sending in letters of request with their Society number.

More donations will become available throughout the year and will be given out as letters of request are received.  Our Meatdraws, where this funding comes from, are held every Saturday at 2pm.

2024

On Sunday, January 8th, Erwin Ruf, President, and Fern Dupont, Treasurer as well as from our Ladies Auxiliary Deb Zukowsky, President, and Jen Pace, Treasurer, presented donations to several local charities/societies. Accepting those cheques were representatives (photo below) from the Hospice Society, the Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation, Crime Stoppers, Teens Matter Too, Community Dental and the Navy League.
